A sheltered sandy cove beach with a gentle slope, protected from wind and swell, making it a calm, flatwater swimming beach rather than a surf or kite venue. Canoe and kayak rentals are available in summer. Rocks may be exposed at low tide nearby, and the tidal range is significant, so high tide gives the best swimming depth. Dogs are banned 1 April to 31 October. Lifeguards supervise daily in summer, with hours tide-dependent.
