A long, flat, fine-sand beach on the Gulf of Roses, shallow and gently shelving with little wave energy except during strong Tramuntana or easterly storms. Reliable Tramuntana and thermal winds make it a known kite and windsurf spot, with schools on site; in high season (June-August) kitesurfing is restricted to designated zones away from the buoyed bathing area. Dogs are banned near the adjoining nature reserve; rescue cover runs through summer.
