A sand-and-rock beach sheltered from south-westerlies, on a town's eastern edge, backed by dunes with a slipway used by a local boat club. It rarely produces surfable waves, suiting wingfoiling, windsurfing, jet-skiing, SUP and kayaking more than surfing, though a hidden offshore rock reef can generate swell-riding conditions and turns hazardous at low tide, especially low springs. Dogs permitted year-round. Volunteer lifeguards patrol in season.
