An exposed Atlantic beach break on the ocean-facing side of the Cap Ferret peninsula, reached via boardwalks through pine-backed dunes. A sand bottom with shifting sandbars creates multiple peaks, lefts and rights, on north-west swell with offshore wind. A flagged bathing zone runs mid-June to mid-September, with watersports kept outside it; kitesurfing is allowed south of the main zone. Baïne rips between sandbars are the key hazard. Dogs are banned.
