s'Arenal d'en Castell · Spain
A near-circular, horseshoe-shaped bay on Menorca's north coast, its narrow mouth blocking swell to keep the water calm and shallow. Fine pale sand runs about 650m, with small Posidonia meadows in parts of the bay and rocky areas at its extremes suited to snorkeling. This is flatwater, not a surf or wind/kite spot. Swimmers must stay within a buoy-marked bathing zone due to heavy boat traffic; lifeguards patrol seasonally (15 May-15 October).
