A long, gently shelving sandy beach at the head of a sheltered bay, with shallow, usually calm water well suited to swimming and family paddling. The bay only roughens with wind from south, southeast or east. Watersports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing are restricted to outside the buoyed bathers' zone, and anchoring is banned along this stretch of coast. Blue Flag beach with municipal lifeguard cover from 15 March to 30 November.
