Fine white sand and a calm, gently sloping bottom make it a family swimming spot, suited to swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding rather than surf or wind sports. Flanked by a fishing harbour, it's busy in peak season. Classed high-risk, it has lifeguard cover May-October, with an amphibious wheelchair available.
