A wide, sheltered fine-sand beach with pebble areas and boat ramps, on the calm shore of an inlet protected from dominant southwesterly winds. Flat water suits sailing, kayaking, kitesurfing, swimming and sand yachting, with a nautical centre across the inlet. Bathing water quality is rated excellent; the season runs roughly mid-June to mid-September. Dogs and barbecues permitted, smoke-free. Pleasant at high tide, with the inlet moderating wave energy.
