Strong rip currents are a hazard, and the beach largely disappears at high tide, with visitors warned about being cut off against the cliffs; rock-fall signs are posted. RNLI lifeguards patrol daily 10am-6pm, early May to late September. Dogs banned in summer, 10am-6pm.
