Water is calm, translucent and gentle, suited to swimming and family use, with rocky outcrops at the north end and cliffs giving shelter from the strong regional wind driving windsurfing and kitesurfing nearby. Kitesurfing is prohibited off this beach chain. Nudism is common here, and lifeguard service is listed among the beach's amenities.
