A wide, sheltered, dune-backed sandy bay within a Nature Reserve on the south Gower coast, calm for most of the year and used mainly for swimming. Its sandy beach break gives left and right waves needing a substantial SW swell to become surfable, rare, mostly in autumn/winter; the adjacent reef activates at lower tide. Rip currents are present; windsurfing is practised too. Jet-skis are banned, with no lifeguard cover; dogs must be leashed seasonally.
