A 2 km SW-facing sandy beach in a Mediterranean bay, calm and flat in summer but wind-swell exposed in autumn and winter, when south swell and offshore northeast wind produce a beach break with left and right peaks. Rip currents are a noted hazard. Kitesurfing runs only 16 October–14 March, launching from the beach's southern end outside the 300 m bathing zone. Lifeguard cover is seasonal, weather-dependent.
