Facing south-southeast, it receives small wind-swell rather than surf, and suits calm-water and wind-assisted activities — windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding — with a nautical centre nearby. Lifeguard cover, by firefighter-lifeguards, runs 1 July to 31 August.
