Port de Pollença · Spain
A long (about 2.4km), narrow strip of grayish sand mixed with pebbles and gravel on the s'Albufereta wetland shore of Pollença Bay, shaped by sea currents and strong N/NE winds. Water is shallow with a very gentle slope, calm and largely wave-free - this is the only area in Mallorca where kitesurfing is legally authorised, though restrictions apply from 1 March to 30 June to protect nesting plovers. No lifeguard, showers or toilets are present.
