It sits within a protected natural park and marine reserve, with posidonia seagrass sections. Facing WSW, it sees wind-driven chop rather than swell. A protected dune is off-limits, and scuba diving is restricted in the reserve. A nudist area exists. There is no lifeguard service; kitesurfing must stay 200m offshore.
