Waves are mostly local windswells, working occasionally and typically flat in summer; rips and rocks are hazards near the reef. Not a kite or windsurf spot, but jet ski, banana boat and parasailing hire operate here. Blue Flag since 1987. Dogs, nudism, alcohol and night swimming are banned; strong municipal lifeguard cover in summer.
