It gives a right-hand beach break with rights and lefts on SW, W and S swell, best at low-to-mid tide, with strong currents and a jetty sheltering it from easterly winds. Naturism was historically tolerated at the eastern end. Seasonal summer lifeguards are present; dogs are generally barred in summer.
