The bay's beach break runs over sand and scattered rocks, producing small, inconsistent waves exposed to windswell; the right side is used by beginner surfers and a local surf school. Submerged rocks are a hazard. Best around mid tide on a rising tide. Free access; lifeguards and first aid operate during the bathing season.
