Consistent south-westerly winds make it a popular kitesurfing venue, while the gently sloping sandy break suits swimmers and beginners. In the June-August lifeguard season, kitesurfing and other watersports are barred from the swimming area, reserved for swimmers 10:30-19:00. Dogs are banned from the beach in bathing season.
