A roughly 500-900 m sandy Atlantic beach facing southwest into the prevailing westerly swell, on the Pornichet/Saint-Nazaire boundary. The sandy-bottomed break is a point break/beach break hybrid with right- and left-handers, popular with bodyboarders, holding swell to about 2.5-3.25 m; shorebreak is the main hazard. Estuary-driven currents (2-3 knots) run near the Loire outlet, so watersports entry/exit is best planned around high tide.
