A wide, west-facing sandy beach at a river-mouth estuary, with a sandbank emerging at low tide forming a flatwater lagoon for kite, wingfoil and windsurf, plus a beach break with left/right waves at mid-to-high tide, best on a west-southwest swell with offshore wind. A nautical centre offers windsurf, bodyboard and paddleboard activity. Kitesurf/watersports banned mid-June to mid-September, plus weekends/holidays May-Sept; a rescue post runs July-August.
