The sandy bottom shelves gently, with no reef or rock, forming an open beach break exposed to wind-driven swell, suited to kiting and windsurfing more than surfing. Both are banned in buoyed bathing zones roughly 13 June-13 September, allowed outside that window. Lifeguards cover summer, 10:00-19:00. Tide is minimal; jellyfish can appear in summer.
