A long, exposed, fine-sand beach break on the Gulf of Roses, facing east with generally small, wind-driven surf and a gently shelving bottom. Strong winds make it a known windsurf and kitesurf destination, but both are banned in summer (June-August) to protect bathers. A breakwater creates a flat-water zone nearby; submerged rocks and rip currents are noted hazards along the break. Dunes behind the beach are protected. A rescue team is present in summer.
