A short, SE-facing sandy beach on the Costa del Maresme, calm for most of the year, with an exposed sandbar break producing left and right-handers on a south-east swell with north-west offshore wind. Suited to swimming and paddleboarding, with kitesurfing and windsurfing used off-season. Kitesurfing is banned in July, August and September. Strong rip currents are a noted hazard. Lifeguard towers are present; tidal range is minimal.
