A sheltered beach behind a tall seawall in a natural park, with a mixed sand-and-rock bottom and rocky intertidal platform. A right-hand point/reef break works best at low tide on SW and W swells, walls running up to about 200 m; paddleboarders and longboarders use it too, mainly October-March. Tidal range near 1.0-3.3 m exposes rocks at low tide and narrows the beach at high tide. Rips and rocks are hazards. Lifeguards patrol June-September.
