A 720 m Blue Flag urban beach at an estuary mouth, sheltered enough for calm family bathing in summer, floodlit in the evening. In larger autumn-winter SW or W swells, its western reef plateau produces a right point/reef break with barrel sections and wave lengths up to about 200 m, working best from mid-tide. Dogs are not permitted. Lifeguards on duty during the bathing season, with SOS emergency rescue totems, defibrillators and a rescue drone on site.
