A 300m NW-facing beach flanked by flysch cliffs, with a mixed sand-and-gravel/pebble bottom, more open to the sea and exposed than its sheltered neighbour. It is a beach break carrying moderate-to-heavy swell, used for windsurfing, canoeing and bodyboarding. The Atlantic tidal range is significant, exposing rocky sections and small low-tide coves used for naturism as the beach narrows to about 90m at low tide. Lifeguards operate in summer.
