An unsupervised, north-facing Atlantic beach of soft sand flanked by granite rock platforms and reef, exposed to Channel swell and westerly-to-northerly winds, in a Natura 2000 zone. It offers a sandy beach break for surfing and bodyboarding at high tide, but becomes an expert-only reef break at low tide, with exposed rocks and strong rip currents. Onshore west-north winds bring chop; offshore south-southeast winds organise swell. No lifeguard post.
