A long white-sand Atlantic beach backed by a protected dune system, between two estuaries. A sheltered lagoon behind the dunes gives flat, wind-oriented water suited to beginner kitesurfing, wingfoiling and windsurfing, sand extending far out at low tide; the open west shore carries Atlantic exposure. Oyster parks and rocks emerge at low tide. A June-Sept buoyed zone bans kite, wing and windsurf inside it. Lifeguards cover July-August; dune cordon closed.
