At low tide a sandy beach break gives left and right waves, best in winter, often flat in summer; dangerous rip currents are the main hazard. As tide rises, sand gives way to rock and rock pools, risking being cut off at high tide. No lifeguard cover. A seasonal dog ban runs Easter to 1 October.
