A compact, northwest-facing beach break with a gently sloping sandy bottom and rocky, tidal-pooled edges, suited to beginner-to-intermediate surfing. Low-to-mid tide gives the broadest sand and steadiest waves; high tide narrows the beach and can bring heavy shorebreak. A powerful rip runs on the north side, off-limits to swimmers and bodyboarders. RNLI lifeguards patrol daily, mid-May to late September. Dogs banned 15 May-30 September, 10:00-18:00.
