A small, sheltered east-facing bay with calm, largely wave-free water suited to swimming and paddleboarding rather than surf or kite sports. The seabed is mainly sandy, though sharp pebbles are reported in places, and rocks emerge at low tide. Access is free, with basic facilities, but swimming is unsupervised all season, and episodic bathing bans have followed water tests. Navigation is restricted on one side of the bay. Dogs banned 1 May-31 October.
