The gentle slope and sheltered south-southeast aspect keep it calm rather than a surf beach, suiting paddlers, swimmers and families; low tide exposes a broad sandy expanse. Lifeguard cover runs July-August only, otherwise unsupervised. Atlantic tidal range applies; dogs are banned May-September and dune paths are protected.
