A long, fine white-sand Atlantic beach backed by protected dune habitat, used mainly for bathing rather than surfing, with no rocks or reef reported. The exposed, unsheltered shore can turn rough on windy days regardless of tide. A rescue post is set up on the dune in summer only; hours are not published. Dogs and horses are banned June-September. Low tide gives the widest sand; high tide compresses the beach against the dunes.
