A 1.4 km north-facing sandy beach break with lefts and rights, sheltered enough that it needs a powerful N-NW groundswell (2 m+), tending flat in summer with most consistent surf in autumn-winter. Designated zones cater to kitesurf, surf, windsurf and wingfoil alongside a separate bathing area. Lifeguard cover runs mid-June to mid-September. Tidal range is around 8.6 m; mid-tide gives the best wave balance, with scattered rocks near the bay's east edge.
