A wide, NW-facing sandy beach in the St Agnes AONB, with a consistent, exposed beach break giving lefts and rights year-round, best in autumn/winter. Low tide brings punchy, hollow waves and high tide a dumping shorebreak; hazards include rip currents, submerged rocks, and water-quality advisories. At low tide it stretches nearly 1.5 miles to merge with the beach next door. RNLI lifeguards patrol May-September. A dog ban runs 15 May-30 September, 10am-6pm.
