A vast, west-facing Atlantic beach on Cornwall's north coast, exposed to swell with consistent, year-round surf. Sandy beach break with left and right peaks at all tides and a rocky reef element; rip currents and rocks are hazards, surf best near high tide. Two permanent kitesurfing zones operate, one usable at mid-to-low tide only. RNLI lifeguards patrol in season. Dogs allowed year-round, leads required in July/August; backing dunes are a protected SAC.
