Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function and improve your experience.
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to work. Others help us understand how visitors use our website.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (functional)
We do not currently set any strictly necessary or functional cookies. Your cookie consent choice is stored locally in your browser (via local storage, not a cookie) so we can remember it on future visits.
Referral code (local storage, not a cookie)
If you arrive through a referral link or enter a referral code, and we show you that a discount has been applied, we save that code in your browser’s local storage under the name 4shor_via. It is saved only so the discount you were shown can be applied when you subscribe. The code is checked with our servers when you arrive and sent again when you start a checkout. It is removed as soon as you dismiss the discount notice. It stays on your device until you do, or until you clear your browser’s storage for 4shor.app. If you use the Google Play button while a code is saved, the code is included in the link so the app can credit the same referral.
Analytics (optional — requires consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use 4Shor so we can improve it. These cookies are only set after you click Accept on the cookie banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique visitors. Used to calculate visit, session, and campaign data for site analytics. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics — stores and counts page views for this specific GA4 property. | 2 years |
We use Consent Mode v2: if you decline or ignore the banner, GA4 still fires but without setting cookies or collecting personal data — only anonymised, aggregated signals are sent to Google.
We do not use cookies for advertising or marketing targeting.
3. Your consent choices
On your first visit, a cookie banner at the bottom of the screen lets you Accept or Decline analytics cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser and remembered for future visits — the banner will not appear again.
To change your preference at any time: clear your browser’s local storage for 4shor.app (this resets the consent record and the banner will reappear on your next visit). Alternatively, contact us at info@4shor.app and we can advise further.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their privacy or settings menu. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website works.
5. More information
For more information on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. For questions about this policy, contact us at info@4shor.app.
