A sheltered, ~2 km sandy bay facing WNW, beside a more powerful neighbouring point break, with beach-and-reef waves slower toward its calmer southern end. Two surf schools operate here alongside kitesurfing and windsurfing. Kitesurfing is confined to a marked channel, banned 13:00-19:00 in July-August; rigging is beach-only. Lifeguards cover roughly 13:00-19:30, July-August. Kitesurfers should launch on an ebb or low tide, as the bay narrows at high water.
