A vast (around 3 km) west-facing Atlantic beach break, backed by a protected dune reached via marked trails only. A submerged sandbank on the northern section produces beach-break waves of 0.5–1.5 m, September to May, best on a west-northwest swell with easterly wind. Kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking and low-tide sand yachting also occur, within a kitesurf zone. Rip currents occur in exposed sections. Seasonally supervised; dogs permitted.
