A 600 m arc of fine white sand sheltered within a roadstead, facing SSE, merging at low tide into a wider ~1.5 km stretch with neighbouring beaches. South or strong west swell brings beach-break waves with multiple peaks, a technical right-hander running toward submerged rocks near a jetty, and two hollow peaks in an inlet reachable only at high tide. Used for surfing, kitesurfing, sailing, diving; rip currents noted. Blue Flag; lifeguards July-August.
