A wide, exposed Atlantic sandy beach break with mobile but unusually stable sandbars, gentler south and hollower north. Strong baïne rip currents are the main hazard, worsening on a rising tide; tidal range runs to about 3.8 metres. Watersports are banned in the supervised swimming zone and in the corridor toward the neighbouring beach, where submerged rocks and debris lie. Dogs and naturism are prohibited. Lifeguards cover the beach in season.
