A wild, undeveloped dark-sand beach roughly 500-900m long, reached by dirt track and stone steps. The main bay breaks over a shifting sandbar suited to a range of surfing abilities, while the rocky edges break over stone. A current at the southern end pulls out to sea toward the cliffs in strong swell. Low tide exposes shallow sandbanks; mid-to-high tide brings the best unbroken waves. No lifeguard; swimming is discouraged given the strong currents.
