For surfing, we combine satellite-derived bathymetry, wave models, wind data, tides and water temperature into a single 0–100 conditions score calibrated to your ability level — Beginner through Expert. A score of 80+ means Excellent; 60–79 is Good; below 40 the session is usually not worth the drive.

Every location is scored across four levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. The same beach can score 75 for a beginner on a small clean day and 30 for an expert when there isn't enough power. Pick your level in the app and the score adjusts automatically.
