The sandy, seaweed-flecked seabed reaches 2-5 m in the north; an offshore island shelters it from easterly winds, keeping water calm rather than surf-worthy. It is the only local beach where motorised watersports remain permitted. Alcohol is banned 21:30-08:00, and party boats are barred within 1 nautical mile. Lifeguards run daily 10:00-18:00, May-October.
