The largest of three beaches, roughly 600 m long and 40 m wide, a broad, flat, fine-sand tourist beach with a sandy seabed at 3-5 m. Sheltered in most wind directions, it produces waves only when SW wind blows directly onshore, making it a calm-water beach for swimming and family use rather than surf. Dogs are not permitted. Lifeguard and Red Cross cover run 15 March-30 November.
