A quiet, unserviced beach of dark volcanic sand and pebbles, 400m long, sits on Lanzarote's south tip beside a marina and an 18th-century castle. Most of the shore is sheltered and calm, but a rocky breakwater drop-off at the south end produces a right-hand wave at low tide; entry is rocky and complicated. High tide reduces or kills the wave; the main beach is easier at higher water. Dogs banned; no lifeguard.
