An exposed Atlantic beach break flanked by cliffs and backed by a protected lagoon (Natura 2000/ZEPA). Sandy for most of its 1.4-1.7km length, with rocks exposed at low tide at the north end, it breaks consistently year-round on west-northwest swell from under 1m to 4m, drawing surfers, bodyboarders, kitesurfers and windsurfers. Best at low-to-mid tide. Lifeguards run mid-June to mid-September; the area is also a declared hunting refuge.
