Playa El Ancla Kayak Forecast
Las Caletas · Spain
Playa El Ancla scores 76/100 for kayak today at its best ability level (expert). The beach faces SE. The southernmost beach of a Lanzarote resort is a small, sheltered, ESE-facing volcanic cove enclosed by two rocky sea walls that kill swell, leaving calm, clear, flat water with no surf break. Much of the original sand has washed away, exposing sharp rock, with submerged rocks at the bay mouth. It suits calm swimming and snorkelling (fish, crabs, parrotfish), not board or wind sports. High tide eases entry; reef shoes help. Unserviced, no lifeguard.
