A sheltered, pine-fringed cove facing ESE, with rocky cliffs on both sides giving natural shelter and coarse golden sand. Water is calm and clear, suited to swimming and snorkelling around flanking rocks and tide pools rather than surf or wind sports. The entrance slopes steeply, so depth increases sharply just a few metres from shore, a hazard for non-swimmers. A rocky section lies on the north side. Lifeguard surveillance is provided on site.
